Trees Grow out of Rocks!

Yosemite is almost nothing but rock and yet there are lots of trees. What you see here looks like sand, but it is actually rock and the trees grow between the cracks. It almost looks like the roots are in the rock. This area is all hill, very little flat land, you can see the road wrap around the mountain. I have pictures of it, but they are in my camera. Will try and remember to post them, they are very interesting.
