Am on a slow site today so will not attempt any pictures. Hopefully next one will be better.

It rained all night again. Will just do what we want and ignore the rain, that is what the locals do!!
The day was not that bad weather wise, the sun did come out occasionally. We went to a local aquarium. Nothing like Tampa, but it had the local sea life and we enjoyed it. We then went to a place called Trees of Mystery. It was an old growth forest with incredible redwoods and a sky lift that took us up hundred of feet to look over the entire area. I am so amazed at how the redwoods support each other. We saw old stumps that had as many as 9 trees growing out of it.
Doug says we don’t need to go the Sequoia now, but from what we have learned they are very different. They grow shorter, but much wider and are also younger.
Will try to go to a beach at low tide tomorrow that has a lot of beach agate. Might try to go to a local river that has river agate!! Never enough stones!!

Got up to another overcast day, but it cleared off and turned out to be beautiful. We went to the beach to collect beach agate. Spent a couple of hours there with the sound of the sea lions on the rocks in the water.
We then went to the Smith river to see what it had to offer. Spent a couple of hours there. On our way to the river we stopped at a spot overlooking the mouth of the river with the ocean. The currents were fascinating and on a sandbar on the other side of the water were a group of harbor seals we watched for quite a while. They are not as vocal as the see lions, but they sure are cute.
We will leave here tomorrow and head south.
