This is one of the coates that Dixie Alexander, the local indian artist made. She uses many different furs and bead work. These are typical of the original attire. The more different kinds of furs indicated how successfull the womans husband was in his hunting and the more respect she received. Notice the garment in the back of the photo and the bead work on it.
