In Montana

May 1, 2007

Got an early start today, heading to Montana. Day is sunny and cool, about 40 degrees.
Lots of open space as we drive, you can see for miles around. We are amazed at the herds of prong horn elk through Wyoming. Starting to see the mountains in the distance.

The road was blocked for an oil truck that was on fire. We were held up for about 45 minutes. Doug and I both commented that it didn’t bother either of us the way it would have if we were home.

We have camped in Garrytown, MT. The Little Bighorn Battlefield and museum are here and I really wanted to see them. Got here too late but will go through it on the way out tomorrow. Our campground is on a hill and we can see for miles. The sunset is wonderful.

Have had a lot of questions about the girls and I keep forgetting to mention them. They are settling down. Diamond even comes out once in a while when we are moving!! For the most part midnight stays under the covers! She still prefers the closet but I don’t like her in it. Doug put a hook and eye on it, but in a very short time she figured out how to open it, so now we use a bunggie to hold the doors closed!! They have both started eating, which makes me feel better.
