Battle of the Little Bighorn

May 3, 2007
Got a slow start today. Weather is warm and slightly overcast. They are predicted for ‘snow showers’ Thurs or Fri. in this area!!!!

We just stopped at the Battle of the Little Bighorn National Park. What a great education center. It is so well done you could almost see the battle. We could not help but think of you John Gallo!! We know how you enjoy history. Doug was saying we would have to leave you there and pick you up in a few days!!! I was pleased to see that it is not only a memorial to Custer and his troops, but also to the Indians. Over the area they have markers where the soldiers and the Indians fell, with names of those they knew.

It is noon and we are just now getting on the road. Don’t know where we will end up tonight, but sure like having our ‘house’ with us!!!

I understand Jane’s computer class is keeping track of us. Hope you continue to enjoy the blog and if you want to comment or have suggestions please feel free to do so.

Most of the drive today was rather boring, the scenery is the same. Someone told us that we would be getting tired of it!! Toward the end of the day though we started to see the snow covered mountains and it was wonderful. We are staying at Livingston, MT tonight and will head out in the morning.
