Another hike today

Last week on one of our rides on the dirt roads we came across a couple of men that were biking up a path that was gated off. They said there was an old homestead about a mile down the road and we should take the hike. Today we took the time and were really happy we did. The property was donated to the National Forest and qualifies for historic preservation.

The setting was absolutely incredible with views to die for. We spent quite a bit of time just walking through the buildings and were sorry we did not bring our lunch so we could have a picnic. These are only a few of the pictures we took.



This was a fascinating rock - you know me and rocks!!!! This was a hugh one that split and in the center of it was a large air pocket which made it into a small cave!
