Spring Storm at Custer State Park

Yesterday we had tornado warnings all day long. We had tremendous winds and rain. Doug and I went into Rapid City early in the day not realizing we were in for some very heavy weather. We drove through terrible rain mixed with hail. I was not sure when we got home of what we would find!!!

We were home about ten minutes when we heard a tremendous crack and then the moaning of a tree as it fell. We could not see the tree but knew it was close. I didn't know which way to run!!! These pictures show how close the tree was to our RV.


This is usually a rather small stream, it is probably three times it's usual size!!
