July 31st.

Another week gone by. We have spent many hours just watching the wildlife as usual. I am including some pics of the bison as usual, we spend a lot of time with them. We were also very luck to see a herd of elk, I have been trying to see them since we have been here. Got some great pics. Today we took a nice ride out to the country with the hopes of finding some garnets. Didn't find the garnets, but sure did see sine beautiful scenery!!

The annual Sturgis Bike week is this week and we have had hundreds of bikes here in the park and have passed them on the road. Last year they had 550,000 bikes at Sturgis and this year they expect more!!! We will be working an extra day next week to help on the Needles Hwy with traffic. I cannot imagine being in Sturgis this week. Not that we have anything against bikers, since we used to be among their ranks, but the noise has to be incredible.

Doug reminded me the other day that we only have four weeks left here and I felt so sad. However, we mite have some changes in our schedule, will keep you posted.
