June 6th - 8th - Well, we put in our first weekend at our volunteer positions. I really enjoyed mine. They have a new reservation program and like all new programs there are glitches that need to be fixed. However I caught on pretty well. It was VERY busy Sat & Sun, but that made the time go more quickly. Today was very slow for me and I am hoping that we can make some changes to keep me busier. The last two days have been just awful so far as the weather goes. It has been raining like crazy and there was even some very large hail stones. This made Doug’s job more difficult as he is at the entrance gate. The first night he was not very happy, but last night he seemed to feel a bit better about it. We sure will have some stories to tell about people!!! Today, of course since we had to work, was very sunny. It is clouding over this evening and cooling down some.
I have a very lovely walk to my job. It is a walking trail and run right along a babbling creek with mountains on the other side. I actually wish it where a longer walk!!! This week we plan on seeing more of the sites so I am familiar with them and can tell our guests what is around.
June 9th - 10th - Wed. it rained hard all day. I spent several hours on the computer trying to copy my GPS program onto my new notebook without success. Spoke to my personal computer consultant (Chip) and he gave me some suggestions to try, which I will do today. Edie has started her blog as she and the family are traveling in Brussels and Italy. Sounds like they are having a wonderful trip.
It is dreary and drizzly again today. We have a small leak in the bathroom he can’t fix until we have
