Friday we headed for Santa Fe and on the way we stopped at the Reo Grande gorge. How amazing, it appears in the middle of a flat desert. I think the pics are great.
We got to El Rancho RV Park just outside of Santa Fe on Friday. The park is nice, but the WiFi is nothing to brag about. I finally had to come down to the office to use it. This is the most frustrating thing about RV parks. So often they say you have WiFi at your site, and the charge for it, but if you are more than four or five spaces from the office you can't get it. We are leaving here tomorrow, so decided that I would get the blog updated before we left.
Saturday we went to the Shindoni Bronze Foundry and watched them pour. It was absolutely fascentating. There was a glass blower right next door and I spent quite a bit of time there. Santa Fe is full of art and it made me think of you Alice when you and Doug came here. I now realize why you enjoyed it so much. My Doug, however, is not so interested in art so we did not spend a great deal of time there.
Sunday we went for a great tram ride in the Sandie Mtns. The tram goes over a mile up and the view was great.
Today we stayed an extra day and went to two National Parks; Fort Union and Pacos. Lots of history and interesting remains of the dwellings. Tomorrow we will leave, heading south to 40 and then east. Will be taking our time as we don't want to get into the gas problems in the gulf area.
