Beautiful Golden Aspen

It has been a few days since I have posted, by the end of the day have been too tired and in the morning we have gotten out too quickly. I think we have covered just about every back road in the area. A few days ago we asked the welcome center in Salida if there we any good rock hunting places and they gave us two sheets of them!!!! Most of them were either closed for public hunting or we too hard for me to hike to. However, we found a road that has an old stream bed running along side of it and we had a blast. Doug may complain about my rocks, but he set up a chair for me and brought the rocks to me!!!! Have quite a wonderful collection. The ponds will sparkle with all the quartz we have found!! Also took some pics of the Aspen, they are really looking beautiful, but they sure don't last long.

Today we head south to the Great Sand Dunes. We will be staying at a National campground, so will not have access to the internet for a few days. Will get back on as soon as I can.
