Some beautiful scenery just for Ruth!!!!

We are finally seeing the scenery we came for!!! It is absolutely magnificent. Again, I will only post a few but it will be a taste of what we are seeing. Drove to Estes Park on Sunday but did not go into the park. The drive was out of this world. I took videos of that, but for some reason did not take stills!!! Chip said if we think that is great wait until we get into the park!! We will save that for when he is here next week.

We checked into Boyd Lake State Park on Monday. Boy where we in for a surprise!!! We like to stay at state parks partly because they are usually less, but also because they are usually rustic and in the woods. This had electric hook-up so we thought that was great. We got here and there is one little tree at our spot that doesn’t give any shade to speak of. Then we found out we had to pay a daily entrance fee for both the car and the RV plus a set-up fee. The total came to the same as we would pay for a private park that has full hook-ups abd free WiFi. Quess we don't stay at anymore state parks here.

Well, we got over that shock and yesterday took a great scenic ride and saw several moose and some amazing rock formations. I have gotten a couple more books on the geology of CO and have really appreciated the mountains more as I know more about how they were formed. We drove over 200 miles!!! It was great. Today is a work day, went shopping for supplies and I am now doing the laundry. Will not get to post this until Fri.

The CO scenery is exquisite! It's been so long since we were in Estes Park that it's like I never saw it. Hope you're enjoying your time this week with Chip. Donna
