Today was a great day, but an exhausting one. We went to the West Wall, the Dome of the Rock and the tunnels under the rock. It becomes more amazing everyday when we realize how old this area is. Also, it has brought into focus a better understanding about the differences in this country. How closely two different ideologies live and the tensions they feel. When we came out of the tunnels there was some situation that made our guide rush us into an enclosed place. I was not frightened, it just made me more aware of what the people here live with everyday. I keep trying to get a handle on the city and the streets that seem to be underground but really aren't. Getting late and must run. Only two more days!!!!!

Hi Barbara,
I see you are really on a roll.I just recently saw a special on Israel and they spent a lot of time talking about The Dome of the Rock. I really found that interesting. Not as much as you are I am sure. When we talk you can tell me more.
