Still in Williams, AZ

June 22 & 23, 2007

Saturday was a rainy, windy day, not a good day for doing much, so we took a ride to Flagstaff to look around and do some shopping.

It rained all night and the wind was so bad that it rocked the RV!!! We got up to a clear cold day, the temp was 49 degrees when we got up!!!

Went to a small church and then decided to take a ride toward Jerome. We have been to Jerome several times, just love that town. We had asked at the office where there would be some good rock hunting and were told this was the road to take. Found a stream and spent two hours digging around. Found a few interesting rocks. I could have stayed there for hours, but poor Doug was getting bored. He was very good about staying and I had to laugh when we got back to the park as he kept picking up “good rocks”. He doesn’t mind if he is finding something, but gets bored when nothing shows up.

We have decided to stay here until Wed. Tomorrow we will go back to the Grand Canyon in the car and go to the visitors center which we missed the other day. Tues. I hope we will go back to the stream and look for more ‘good rocks’.
