Woke this morning to 31 degrees again!! One of these days it has to warm up!!! Will drive to Tok, AK today and rest for a couple of days. Doug feels better now that he knows we can make it to Anchorage by the 5th!!!
It is very foggy, we are hoping it will be just localized so we can see more. The road is no better today!!
Well, the fog cleared and we are now in Alaska, even the roads seem better!!!
Got to our campground in Tok. If it were summertime this would be a really great park. They have so many things going on, but nothing really starts until next weekend. Will stay for two nights. Just drove around to see what was out there and were rather disappointed. Not much to see. Stopped at a very nice gift shop, had really neat stuff at really neat prices. As Doug said, I have WEEKS to shop!!! Of course he is always so anxious to take me shopping!!!!
It is quite cool still, just hovering around 50 degrees. We went out looking for a church and found two. One Doug knew he did not want to go to, I will not mention names as I don’t want to offend anyone, the other we were not sure what to expect. It is called the East Gate Community Church. Doug feels he wants us to do our own little worship here with the CD’s and reading material we brought along. Guess that is what we will do.
Spent some time today rearranging everything in the kitchen cabinets, it is amazing how quickly you become disorganized in a small space.
Will try to upload some pictures and see what happens
