Watson Lake Signpost Forest was started by an Army soldier working on the construction of the Alaska Highway in 1942. Travelers are still adding signs to the collection, which numbers more than 50,000. Tourists are encouraged to add a sign. We didn't have one for St. Pete, but we did see one from Tallahassee. I am sure if we took the time we would have seen St. Pete!!!!
